The profession of the pharmacist has a long-standing tradition that has drastically been affected over the past few years. While (s)he used to enjoy a great reputation due to her/his extensive knowledge, (s)he is nowadays finding her-himself stuck in an activity increasingly restricted to the handing over the counter of manufactured products. Her/his knowledge and skills have been pushed into the background. The distribution of medication via internet and drugstores has particularly affected her/his vocation.

These developments push pharmacies into re-questionning their position on the market, on how to step up and confront future developments.

"Mia", therefore, is a healthcare center that brings the pharmacist and her/his competences back to the core:  It is a competency center where many specialists settle around the pharmacist in order to jointly create a network that guarantees  comprehensive, affordable and loyal customer care services. 'Get healthy, stay healthy and feel healthy' is MIA's Leitmotiv, in which each individual has the right to tailored and personalised care. This idea is implemented in an intelligent room, counseling and communication concept.
